EXHIBITS

May 1st - May 31st - Wingspan: Member Mentees & Mentors

This show is a tribute to the transformative power of mentorship within the arts.
Through this exhibition, we aim to celebrate the invaluable relationships and exchanges between mentors and their mentees, highlighting how these connections catalyze the creative process and artistic growth.

Wingspan offers a platform to honor these pivotal relationships. Mentees and mentors have submitted pieces that demonstrate the profound impact of mentorship. This is more than an exhibition; it's a public acknowledgment of the role our mentors have played in shaping our artistic voices.

The exhibit's theme, "Wingspan," symbolizes the boundless possibilities and the expansive nature of creativity fostered through guidance and support.

June 1st - June 29th - Abandoned by Steve Knox

"Abandoned" is a compelling art exhibition featuring nearly 50 evocative pieces of 2D and 3D works collected over the past eight years. This collection serves as an investigation into the human experience, exploring the profound narratives embedded in objects, places, and thoughts that have been abandoned, forgotten, or left behind.

The central theme of "Abandoned" delves into the rich tapestry of the human past and memories. The artworks serve as a visual exploration of spaces that were once vibrant homes, now standing silent and decayed after years of exposure to the elements. Objects, once cherished, now exist as distant memories, provoking contemplation about the inevitability of change.

"Abandoned" invites viewers to embark on a journey through time and reflection. The exhibition aims to uncover the beauty in decay, prompting contemplation about the significance of what we leave behind. The pieces in this collection are not just remnants of the past; they are windows into forgotten worlds, sparking curiosity and encouraging viewers to ponder the reasons behind abandonment.

The collection comprises paintings and drawings that capture the essence of a long-forgotten past. Each piece is a visual narrative, inviting viewers to explore the stories behind abandoned places and objects. The artworks not only depict the inevitable decay of physical structures but also the intangible erosion of memories and emotions over time.

July 9th - August 17

The Butterfly Effect” will feature work made from clay that captures nature’s most beautiful and delicate insect. Work can be functional or sculptural, it just needs to celebrate the butterfly. We are seeing a decline in world butterfly populations from habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. The idea of losing nature’s fly paintings is unimaginable. Over 100 years ART 321 has learned that artists and the arts are also delicate and precious. For the arts to thrive they need a safe and nurturing environment, by offering a center for the arts in Wyoming we continue to make changes and look forward to seeing the outcomes in the next 100 years
