The Wyoming Arts Council (WAC) is a vital resource for artists, arts organizations, and communities across the state.
Grants & Fellowships
WAC offers a variety of funding opportunities to support artistic endeavors:Creative Aging Project Grant: Open to non-profit organizations and individual teaching artists to develop Creative Aging programming in Wyoming communities. Grants are awarded in increments of $2,500 for each 8-week program.
Fellowships: Merit-based awards for individual artists in various disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, creative writing, and native arts. Note: Some fellowships may be on hiatus; please check the WAC website for current availability.
Programs & Initiatives
WAC supports a range of programs designed to enrich Wyoming's cultural landscape:
Arts Learning: Provides leadership in developing programs, grants, and technical assistance to schools and organizations aiming to strengthen arts education.
Folk & Traditional Arts: Aims to identify, document, conserve, and honor folk and traditional arts throughout Wyoming, supporting tradition bearers and cultural heritage.
Youth Arts Council: Empowers high school students (ages 15–19) to become confident, creative leaders through leadership development, arts education, and advocacy.
Governor’s Arts Awards: An annual program recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the arts in Wyoming.
